My internship was at Victory Church, which is also a Christian School where I would work throughout the week on Sundays for three services, then occasionally on Mondays for a young adult ministry, and also Wednesdays with the students in the morning and evening. I also did some work outside of actual services, forming some reels under the supervision of my supervisor, helping me cut the b-roll and form the reels, and then letting me do one myself without her help. While at the church, we recorded and live-streamed all three services, which is where I got my video footage from, and I cut it myself, highlighting a little from each week of what different areas I was working in while back in the tech booth. There were three different stations back in the booth. The first one was the sound board that sent out the sound for the recordings and live streams. Using a StudioLive 64S sound board, receiving the signal from the main sound board sent to this one, then mixed again before going out to the live stream. This is where my work titled Audio 1 and Audio 2 is from are Sundays that I worked with the sound board, and the sound you here is me mixing the sound board for the online community and recordings. The second one was the camera switcher that sent signals to the recordings and live stream, as well as the projectors in the sanctuary. Using a Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro video switcher to switch between a robot camera that was controlled by a PTZOptics SuperJoy-G1 Camera Joystick Controller and a tripod camera, I would switch between close-ups and far shots of either the pastor or the musicians. Using the camera controller, I could change where the camera looked, zoom in or out, and adjust the iris and focus as best as I could. This is where my work, titled Video 1 and Video 2, is from. The third one was the lyrics and lights station, where the lyrics for the room that is located on the lower third of the screen were projected, along with adjusting the room lights and the stage lights. Lyrics were run through ProPresenter as well as all videos and backgrounds that were shown throughout the services. Lights were run on a High End Systems Hoglet 4 lighting console, where you had the lights preprogrammed and ready before the services started, so you could just press a button at each transition, and the lights would go in order. Then, with the room lights, you had to fade those down manually. This is where my work titled Lights and Lyrics is from. Finally, my work outside of the normal church flow. I have three reels and a flyer that I made. The reels titled Reel 1 and Reel 2 are the two that my supervisor helped me make and aided me in how she wanted them to look. The reel titled Reel 3 is one that I did completely on my own, with just a bunch of b-roll that she shot and gave me the raw footage, and I cut it down and arranged the reel to be a bit longer as well. Then the flyer for VYA was completely made by me. My supervisor asked if I could design a different logo and flyer for one month, so I did, and we were able to use it to advertise for the young adult night. All of this is my work, done by me and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro from the recordings of me doing this live in the booth.
